Kara Jean Brei, MA, NCC is the founder of Asylum Advising and the Project Coordinator of the South Mountain WORKS Coalition. Kara Jean went on from graduating valediction to obtaining a BA in Interdisciplinary Performance Art from Arizona State University, and an MA in Counseling for Northern Arizona University, graduating magna cum laude. Kara Jean is a Nationally Certified Counselor who entered the field of behavioral health in 2008. She has a variety of premier behavioral health experience from hospitals and institutions to luxury addiction rehabilitation centers. Kara Jean provides workplace culture makeovers, personal advising, and facilitates skills training groups here at Asylum Advising.
ANGELA WILSON, LMSW
Angela is a master’s level Social Worker with over five years of experience working as a therapist. She was born and raised in Arizona and remains a part of the Tempe community after attending ASU for her undergraduate degree. She continued at ASU as she worked towards her master’s degree in Social Work, graduating summa cum laude. Her experience includes working at inpatient facilities, hospitals, and intensive outpatient facilities. She has also worked in private practice taking clients with a variety of issues. She is trained in PIT (Post-Induction Therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy), and is a CSAT-C (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate). She has extensive training and experience working with various types of trauma, including childhood trauma. She currently runs a men’s sex addiction group at an outpatient facility and will be provides dating coaching services with Asylum Advising.
